"Empire Mirror In Carved And Gilded Wood With Pediment, Early XIXth Century"
Superb large Empire period mirror in carved and gilded wood. The main frame is decorated with palmettes and scrolls of acanthus leaves. It is fixed on a woodwork painted green with returns on the sides. The pediment that covers this mirror is particularly well made, it is openwork and carved with flowers, acanthus and wheat. This is a very decorative mirror. The leaf gilding is very fresh, it seems to have been revived a few years ago, likewise the certainly old mirror seems to have been changed. Small lack of woodwork in the top return on the left side of the mirror. Period at the very beginning of the 19th century. Delivery flat on pallet and wooden crate by carrier, 100 euros in France, 200 euros in the EU and 1000 euros rest of the world.
