"Statue Sao"
Bust representing a deity of nature with an animal head and radiant headdress in the sun. Beige and brown terracotta, light small chips. The SAO culture is one of the oldest we know of in Africa. It developed at the time of the European Middle Ages until the 17th century, near Lake Chad, in the delta of the Chari River. Provenance from a known and appraised private collection, a certificate of origin of collection will be provided on request.
