"Console In Solid Blond Walnut, Louis XV Style, Napoleon III Period - Mid-19th Century"
Console in solid Walnut, with top in Pyrenean Cherry Marble. The latter perfectly matches the shape of the console, and its periphery is cut in softened Bec de corbin. On the front, its curved crosspiece is scalloped at the bottom and embellished in its center with two large C-shaped Scrolls. The Console rests on four legs. Those of the front, topped with Acanthus leaves, have a pronounced curve. Those at the back, adorned with similar motifs, are more soberly arched. All are traversed by Gorges which are profiled in the sleepers. There is a Generous Openwork Sculpture, in the Rocaille spirit, in the center of the spacer. The latter is divided into four Molded binders arranged in an atypical way and each joining their foot. This Delicate-looking console table with its rounded lines is adorned with worked decorations while maintaining a Pleasant visual Lightness. ******** Period: Mid-19th century Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop.
