"Albane Roux & Pablo Schellinger Dune Du Pyla By Night Series 2022 Contemporary Art"
This oil on canvas is a contemporary work of art which has the particularity of having been produced by two artists (mother and son). The work dates from 2022 and shows a very beautiful pictorial expression, semi-figurative, semi-abstract. The language explored is that of a landscape of the Bassin d'Arcachon around the motif of the dune (of the Pyla) and whose composition works on a texture in oil and vegetable/mineral paint and a framing which varies according to the proportions. granted to the three levels of elements: the sea, the dune, the sky. The work comes from an ongoing series (Dunes series, 2021-...) of contemporary figurative and abstract painting seeking to bring out the lights and materials that characterize the region. Here, it is a night made during the summer of 2022, crossed by the incendiary disaster in Gironde - and in Pyla. It is large in size since it measures 135 cm in width and 90 cm in height, and is equipped with nail covers.
