Painting counter-signed on the back by the artist, bearing the title of the work "Between the shutters", the date of 1997, a reference A15/NY6/107, and a number 55. Philippe VISSON is an American painter, born in 1942 in New York, of Russian parents who changed their name from Akivisson to Visson because of the political situation in Europe at that time. He began to paint at the age of 16 and enjoyed immediate success by exhibiting in Paris. His eventful life alternated between political and diplomatic spheres on both sides of the Atlantic: United States, England, France and Switzerland. He died in 2008 in Montreux. His work is at the crossroads of Contemporary Art and Art Brut. His paintings are exhibited in many museums and galleries in Paris, Lausanne, Zurich, Geneva, Monte-Carlo and in the United States.
