"Bronze "
Elegant bronze sculpture with brown patina signed Truffot. This work depicts a woman standing with her hands joined, next to her dog. She is dressed in a long dress and is leaning against a tree trunk. Her companion, seated next to her, stares at her. The terrace, embellished with a sheaf of wheat, bears the signature of its author Emile-Louis Truffot (1843-1895). Truffot is a French sculptor known for having realized the fight of the mad dog with the shepherd Jean-Baptiste Jupille, this young man that Pasteur saved by inoculating his famous vaccine against rabies. The whole rests on a grooved pivoting base. Touching and refined, this bronze will appeal to art lovers for the finesse of its realization.
