"Pierre Buraglio Collage Envelope 1977-78 "
Collage by Pierre Buraglio (1939-...), militant artist and professor at the School of Fine Arts in Paris in the second half of the 20th century. He practices experimental painting in connection with the activist movements of 1968, in particular Supports-Surfaces, which seeks in particular to transpose Marxist theory into artistic practices. This work is an envelope reported on tracing paper, bearing the following inscription: "Endless series of administrative envelopes used: glued blue inner side on crystal paper 30x40. These envelopes torn, crumpled, or carefully opened are picked up and presented as gathered or pinned to the wall. Buraglio 77-78". The work is numbered 4/10. This work is therefore the testimony of the continuation of Pierre Buraglio's activities at the end of the 1970s, with a work on the recovery and the putting into art of everyday life, as opposed to great bourgeois art.
