"Neoclassical Inlaid Chest Of Drawers In The Style Of Giuseppe Maggiolini (1738-1814)"
Inlaid neoclassical chest of drawers, Italy, late 18th century Finely inlaid neoclassical chest of drawers, Italy, late 18th century This refined neoclassical chest of drawers was made in Lombardy, Italy, towards the end of the 18th century. The cabinet has two doors. Of high executive level, a product of valuable cabinetmaking, the box is fully inlaid with the use of wood species such as rosewood and rosewood. The interiors are in solid walnut wood. The inlaid surfaces have also been carefully engraved and are in an excellent state of preservation. This very refined technique makes it possible to create a greater definition of the ornaments and also to give three-dimensionality and chiaroscuro to the designs. On a dark background, the elegant marquetry creates neoclassical designs inspired by the taste of the time. Bronze clogs, the interior is entirely covered with an old paper of the time. Restored by our workshop. In the style of Giuseppe Maggiolini (1738-1814)
