"Albert Genta (1901-1989), Oil On Canvas "the Model", Mid 20th Century"
Oil on canvas entitled "The Model", signed lower right by Albert GENTA and very well framed in its original Montparnasse frame with a beautiful patina. There is a small chip in the stucco at the lower left corner of the frame on the back side (not visible from the front). Very pretty female nude lying in profile and back, in a languid position, on fabrics with shimmering reflections. The curves are soft and delicate, full of sensuality and subtly underlined by a play of shadow and light. Also note the delicacy of the finely made-up face and the beautiful blond hair. Vignette affixed to the back of the canvas with the name of the work and the places of exhibition. Albert GENTA (1901-1989) was the Parisian painter of the female nude par excellence, in his own works but also in illustration and the press. Dimensions of the canvas: 65 cm x 50 cm; Dimensions of the Montparnasse frame: 80 cm x 65 cm.
