In 1634 he left Alkmaar and settled in The Hague. He became a member and secretary of the Brotherhood Pictura in The Hague in 16561. He is known for creating landscapes of rivers, forests, with villages, castles, palaces or towers in the background. His work is influenced by Jan van Goyen. Nice little painting typical of Dutch painting, very good quality of painting, made in glaze.
