The top covered with fabrics, with a belt of iron bells surmounted by a Dan runner mask with shell teeth, cowries, and monkey hair beard A sculpture similar to this work can be found in Closeup page 139 from a American collection described by Susan VOGEL The piece that I am offering comes from a private collection and was purchased in the 1970s. Its function was to protect the village and ensure good agrarian harvests. She was taken out in procession once a year and was shown all over the village free shipping worldwide
