London, SE, 1781; in-24, frontispiece portrait of the author by Duponchel, 252 pp., contemporary full speckled calfskin binding, decorated smooth spine, gilt edges, fillets on the covers. Cohen 704. Printed on blue paper. Honoré Joseph Méro is a French poet born in 1736 in Cannes, and died in 1784 in the same city. He was tutor to the Prince of Condé (Duke of Bourbon, father of the Duke of Enghien). Beautiful condition.
