"Regional Cider Pump, In Cherry - Late Nineteenth"
Old cherry pump, originally used for cider, from Ile et Vilaine. It consists in the upper part of an articulated arm with a wooden handle which, once activated, triggers the suction of the drink. Indeed, in the lower part, the hollow body contains a period pump. The liquid is transported through a pipe to a brass tap. It will end its journey in the container that can be installed in the support provided for this purpose, pierced with a hole 11.5 cm in diameter. Note the presence of a round iron plate, stamp of the manufacturer of this pump: the Chauvin establishments in Rennes. The panels forming the facade of this property are removable, making access to the Pump possible. The back of the cabinet is in Chestnut, the bottom is perforated. We can continue to use this beautifully restored Cider Pump from time to time, or give it a peaceful retirement as an object of Decoration, in a private setting, or in a Bar Restaurant. ******** Period: Late 19th century Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop.
