"A Charles X Opaline Casket And Six Perfum Bottles"
Opaline "soap bubble" box and its hinged lid cut with checkerboards comprising four small gadrooned bottles with their glass stopper and their gilded metal lid. In the center, a finely chiseled funnel is used to fill the perfume bottles. The gilt bronze frame chiseled with stars and flower buds rests on four feet in the shape of a winged lion's paw. It is embellished on the sides with handles in the shape of a scallop shell as well as a lock decorated with foliage. Good condition. Some chips on the neck of the bottles and their glass stoppers. Lid attached to the four containers.
