Magnificent landscape of Scotland painted on canvas by Clarence Roe. Painter born according to historians in Birmingham or Glasgow in 1850 and died in 1909. Son of the famous painter Robert Henry Roe. He was very famous in Scotland for his Highland renderings of Scottish lochs. He was a pupil of the Royal Academy in London. Listed in the dictionary of Britich art, Dictionary of Britich artists and also in the Bénézit, dictionary of painters, designers, sculptors and engravers. Oval format of 53 cm x 40 cm. presented in a modern frame, 66cm x 55cm. the canvas needs cleaning.
