Painted by Clarence Roe, painter born in (According to historians) Birmingham or Glasgow in 1850 and died in 1909. son of the famous Victorian painter Robert Henry Roe. Clarence Roe was a pupil of the Royal Academy in London. Listed in the dictionary of British Art, in the dictionary of Britich artists and in the dictionary of painters, draftsmen, sculptors and engravers, the Bénézit. watch out for reflections in the glass. he was known for his landscapes of the Highlands and Scottish lochs. 53cm x 40cm oval. Presented in a modern 66cm x55cm frame.
