"Chest In Solid Ash And Iron Handles - Mid Nineteenth"
Rectangular Trunk in solid Ash, assembled in Dovetails. Its top, with molded front edge, can be kept open vertically thanks to an iron compass. It thus reveals a storage space 19 cm deep, itself furnished with a small box with a lid 6 cm high. The rechamped Original paints have been judiciously preserved inside this trunk, giving it this particular bleached appearance. This Chest is equipped with an Authentic clasp which can be completed with a padlock. Its facade also offers two Sculpted Flowers with pronounced relief. Note the presence on the sides of two drooping iron handles with stops, facilitating the handling of this trunk by excluding all risks of injuring your hands. This Chest, entirely made of Ash, corresponds to this current trend of returning to the essentials and to Natural materials. Transportable, it will nevertheless be able, after almost two centuries of Travel, to aspire to a peaceful retirement in a warm interior. ******** Period: Mid-19th century Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop.
