Beautiful pair of late 17th century candlesticks, octagonal base with degrees taken up of engraving, cast bronze rods in two parts and chiseled, also engraved, fixed by a beautiful old screw thread.These candlesticks were mercury silver leaf , of which about 75% remains, because the surface, probably too often polished by zealous domesticity, shows quite a bit of wear.
Qualities: early period and low price, candlesticks not pierced by the electric fairy, rare in pairs, and great elegance!
Flaws: a split binet, wear and lack of sockets.
