"Gothic Weathervane"
We present for sale this weather vane in wrought iron from the Middle Ages, 15th century, it is characteristic of this period. It could have been elaborated at the end of the 15th century or at the beginning of the 16th century. It is in a perfectly acceptable state of preservation. It was previously placed on the roof of a castle in the plain of Forez (42 our region) the roof had been redone in the course of the 19th century and at that time deposited and in the course of the 20th century recovered by two companions having worked again in this castle for repairs, but I specify once again that it had been deposited in the 19th century and was stored in the outbuildings. Very rare to find it almost complete. We have a flower that is missing a petal. Sold in original condition, never cleaned, original patina. (E23)
