"Thick Curtain Or Door In The Taste Of The Ballets Russes - France Circa 1910"
Circa 1910-1920 France Imposing fringed curtain or door in cotton jacquard woven in the style of the artistic efferfescence of Serge de Diaghilev's Ballets Russes after 1909. Neo-Gothic polychrome motifs with an orientalist touch à la Léon Bakst. Reversible weaving curtain (door?) and long polychrome wool fringes tied on two sides. Note silver blades in the frame (not very visible in the photos) give brilliant reflections in the light. No defects apart from a slight dusting. Very good condition of color and conservation. I have two others that will be for sale as well. Dimensions: 320 cm high by 123 cm wide plus fringes 10 cm
