Library bookplate by Crépan, waterstaining on a few pages at the beginning of the volume and some scattered foxing. Charles Pougens, born in Paris in 1755 and died in Vauxbuin in December 1833, was a French man of letters and printer-bookseller. After a career as a painter, he returned to Paris, following an epidemic of smallpox he became blind, which did not prevent him from becoming an author, bookseller and printer. This little book deals with the domestication of a small monkey in India.
