Magnificent clock of the 1830's or 1840's of rocaille style in gilt bronze surmounted by a bronze group representing a faun and young fauns musicians after Clodion. The group is signed "Thomire à Paris". The movement is signed "DE LA COMBE Hger à Paris" and marked 636.

Pierre-Philippe Thomire was an important French sculptor and bronze-maker of the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
