"Ewer Andbasin, Paris 1798-1809, Sterling Silver Jean Nicolas Boulanger"
Lovely ewer and its basin from the Empire period in sterling silver of the highest alloy in good condition. The two parts of the set are hallmarked with the goldsmith's hallmark of Jean Nicolas Boulanger and the silver guarantee hallmark of the first alloy called "au premier coq". Also present on the two pieces the hallmark of the Paris guarantee office with the number 85. The whole shows great elegance and still shows the great simplicity of the objects manufactured under the Directoire . The set weighs 1.265 grams.
