He is known for his still lifes faithfully representing flowers and fruit. It is also known for his oil paintings of religious devotion media (saints, Madonnas surrounded by flowers or garlands of flowers and fruits (currants) where you can sometimes distinguish insects (butterflies ..) or snails like this is commonly done in the Dutch still lifes of time or time that followed old restorations.
