"Henri Edouard Vernhes: Cupid's Choice, Wax Statue"
Pupil of Jouffroy and A.Millet, he started at the Salon of 1880. Member of French artists since 1884, honorable mention in 1894 and bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900. He has works in the museum of Antwerp, Dieppe and at the Louvre. He is a sculptor of anecdotal subjects treated in a realistic way, some of these works are executed in wax. Our wax group is signed below at the foot of the women, some restorations to the wings of Cupid and there the forearm of one of the women.
