"Bashada African Headrest"
Bashada headrest from the Omo Valley in Ethiopia with a particularly refined shape: Its foot consists of a perfect half-sphere, on which rests a piece of wood, carved in the same mass, with elegant curves, which hugs and supports the seat. The wood of this one has split on one side and has been reinforced by a small metal part. What is a small defect is at the same time a proof of authenticity of this piece of quality. As the underside of the pie shows, this neck support has served well. Also as a stool. The object does not only seduce by its purity and elegance, it is also very functional: A handle on the back allows it to be grasped and carried easily. Beautiful patina of original use.
