Charcoal drawing (and wash) from the studio of animal painter René Hérisson* (studio stamp), representing a study of a lying tiger, annotated Museum (made at the Museum of Natural History in Paris), and dated September 1928 , vintage early twentieth century. In 1896, he created "Les Amis des Arts", a Cognac painting club, surrounded by a group of painters and students. He exhibits regularly at the Paris Salon. He also wrote, under the pseudonym of Henri Sorsène. He painted oils on canvas like La Verrerie Claude Boucher visible at the Cognac Arts Museum. He is particularly known for his animal painting. Thus, at the Jardin des Plantes, he made drawings from life, a certain number of which are in the National Museum of Natural History in Paris. From 1896 to 1940, he was curator of the Museum of Cognac which has a number of his works. Artist listed on ArtPrice.
