"Lovely Interior Scene Young Woman Serving Tea Late Eighteenth Century Period"
The intimate setting of an 18th century bourgeois salon serves as the setting for this delightful interior painting which depicts a young woman, with a deliciously rosy complexion, probably a chambermaid bringing tea. It is an oil on bevelled wooden panel of very fine execution where a multitude of incredibly realized details abounds. Note in particular the swirl of the silk petticoat, the striped bodice, the choker of the young person, on the console the flowered wicker basket and the bouquet which emerges from the Asian potiche... No detail is left to the chance. Without forgetting the richness of the skilfully applied colors. Period: end of the 18th century beginning of the 19th century. Dimensions: 31.5 cm x 24 cm Very good condition. Some very light superficial cracks and without consequence. On the periphery, slight traces of the old frame (see photos). Possibility of frame (more recent) to be sized by me (see photo). Many other objects to discover in my stand of the Salons in which I participate.
