"Mineral Glass Box Of Old Watch Glasses"
Coming from the workshop of a watchmaker fifty years ago, these 129 pieces are of different sizes and are divided into 4 categories: 78 flat glasses from 2.9 cm to 4.5 cm, 25 glasses with rounded edges from 2 .2 cm to 4.5 cm, 18 very curved glasses from 2 to 4 cm; 7 curved glasses with central lens from 3.6 to 4.2 cm and finally a curved rectangular glass from 1.2 to 2.2 cm. The set is stored in a 19th century beech box from the perfume department of the Bon Marché in Paris at the end of the last century. Everything is held in fine sawdust, with wedging in wooden friezes; most glasses carry a paper label referring to its measurement. Indispensable for saving “naked” watches.
