Pair Of Huge Napoleon III Mirrors ,mercury Glasses 279 X 171 Cm
Exceptional pair of very large Napoleon III mirrors in stuccoed and gilded wood. the frames with high arched crosspieces are adorned with tarpaulin friezes underlined with a row of pearls.
they are surmounted by a very beautiful shell top.
superb well-preserved tempera gilding.
the two mirrors have mercury glasses, very sparkling and in good condition, which is extremely rare for these monumental dimensions:
respectively 279 X 171 CM and 271 X 171 CM,
the parqueted backs are original.
From a château of Cognac producers.
mid 19th century period.
the few very small gaps (mainly on the exterior frieze) will be restored by our workshop before shipment.
