"Two Tobacco Jars, Beauvaisis Nineteenth Century."
These two small tobacco jars are made of Beauvaisis sandstone, the first is decorated around the perimeter with three motifs representing a woman taking snuff, alternated with vine branches and bunches of grapes. On the shoulder is a vine shoot covered with grapes. The cap unscrews and reveals a second lid with a small button. The second tobacco jar is adorned on the belly with sunflower flowers two by two and alternated with three clasps, the pewter lid is decorated with a small palmette frieze and has a small button. Beauvaisis 19th century In good condition, one measures 15 cm high and 7 cm in diameter and the other measures 13 cm high and 9 cm in diameter. The smallest has a small chip on the edge underneath and almost invisible.
