Saber with revolving hilt for an officer of the national volunteers, period 1789, 18th century. Saber called "Petit Montmorency" of officer of the national volunteers with slightly curved blade with flat back and hollow sides with fuller with 1 edge and counter edge in point. Blade blued in the 1st third and gilded, decorated with decorations of trophies, flowers and foliage and a character representing the nation in the form of a warrior with a shield marked NATION. Brass mount with guard with 2 joining arcs, one pivoting falling back on the fixed arc. (Working system) Cut and worked guard branches, diamond-shaped pommel with rivet, hollowed and notched quillon, filigree rocket. Traces of shocks on the edge of the blade and traces of rust on the surface in places on the blade (to be cleaned). No scabbard.
