Sideboard Dresser Carved Doors flag

Object description :

"Sideboard Dresser Carved Doors"
Very beautiful sideboard dating from the end of the 19th or the beginning of the 20th century but whose doors are earlier. The doors are made of carved wooden panels dating from the 18th century. There are 8 sketches. On the last located at the bottom right we can see two currencies. The motto of the Order of the Garter: "honni be who thinks ill of it" and "fidei coticula crux" motto of the Earls of Jersey. It would therefore seem that the character represented in the last sketches is George Villiers the 1st Duke of Buckingham. The panels are signed DUPRE. Good quality of execution. One of the panels is split.
