Rare shield from COLLINGWOOD Bay in Papua New Guinea, called Beba or Pere, from a German collection. see a copy in the publication: New Guinea Art Masterpieces from the Jolika Collection, pl 397, page 427. its rear handle is complete. Few copies are registered in museums. There is a similar one in the South Australian Museum in Adelaide. copy in good condition for its age. height: 85cm width: 30cm
