French painter, mainly known as an orientalist painter.
He began his career as a student at the Beaux-Arts in Lyon and then at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris. (date on which our painting is probably located)
He was a resident of the Villa Abd-El-Tif in Algiers in 1926, then made three stays in Morocco in 1933, 1936 and 1940. He illustrates the work of Henri Bosco Moroccan pages published in Casablanca in 1949.
He exhibited in Paris at the Salon d'Automne and the Tuileries. He became a professor of drawing in Meknes and Fez, but also of mural painting at the Royal School of Fine Arts in Cairo in 1939.
