"Porcelain Stoneware Cup, South Asia 1400 To 1600 Ad"
Cut on a circular foot with a slightly flared and slightly hemmed lip. Beautiful finesse and balance of forms. It is adorned on the outer walls with a floral and vegetal decoration. Glazed stoneware with sky blue glaze and a navy blue one for the decoration. Marks of time, small cooking defects, significant earthy deposit at the bottom and outside under the foot of the cup (see photos). Good general state of preservation: no cracks, lacks or restorations. Dimensions: diameter: 13.5 cm, height: 4.7 cm. "Made in China, these cups were intended, at the time, to be sold on the Southeast Asian market. They were transported on junks and were the subject of intense trade by participating in the influence of Chinese dynasties.
