"The Schooner By Georges Barat-levraux"
The schooner in the Mediterranean by Georges BARAT-LEVRAUX oil on canvas circa 1930 signed lower left large format 65cm x 55 cm. Georges Barat-Levraux, born in Blois on May 27, 1878 and died on April 22, 1964 in Montrouge, was a French painter, student of Jean-Paul Laurens and Léon Bonnat then of the Académie Julian, he exhibited in 1926 at the Retrospective exhibition of the Independents several canvases including the remarkable ones: My First Canvas, Interior, Chemin à Cassis, Nudes in the Mirror and Still Life with Lobster. He participated several times in the Salon d'Automne and the National Society of Fine Arts.
