Folk Art Cane In One Piece Of Boxwood Carved Figures And Animals

Exceptional boxwood cane XIX , very generously carved: Animals (field mouse, pan, eagle, snake, and fish), Characters: (mythological, historical, and caricatures). spaced is sublimated by a small decoration composed of a star, a flower and foliage (oak and vine) and to finish with a hunting horn.
all scattered over the full height of the cane, which terminates and rests on a horse's hoof. to come back to the barrel, it is worked from a sinuous branch which hugs and accentuates the effect given to the decor. Itself embellished between the sculptures with a grid cut with a knife. Finally, the pommel is adorned with an adorable little field mouse with its tail in the air, suspended "as if in balance" at the top of the handle. signs the search for aesthetics and balance of its creator.
