Beautiful gouache, framed, under glass, mid-20th century, representing a village in Provence: Auribeau, in the Alpes Maritimes.
Auribeau-sur-Siagne is a medieval village located between Cannes and Grasse and perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Siagne.
Very well treated, with vivacity, the colors express the cheerfulness and the luminosity of the landscapes of Provence.
Signed YVES PERON, dated on the back 1951.
This painter is well known to galleries in the south of France (Grasse, Nice…)
He was born in Paris in 1910, he exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants and the Tuileries from 1931.
He was exhibited in 2010 at the Museum of Art and History of Provence in Grasse, (his adopted city), on the occasion of the centenary of his birth.
Listed on the Bénézit.
