"Vase Soliflore Porcelain Choisy-le-roi Hb Boulenger Chinese Child Nineteenth"
Soliflore vase in Choisy-le-Roi* porcelain signed HB for Hippolyte Boulenger, representing a Chinese child, from the 19th century. This vase is in good condition. It is signed below. A note: small break t missing on one hand, light soiling and slight wear of time, see photos. * Earthenware from Choisy-le-Roi: a factory was founded in 1804 by the Paillart brothers. The pottery remains the property of the Paillart brothers until 1824, it will then be managed by only one of the brothers: Valentin and his partner Hippolyte Hautin. Hyppolite Hautin and Louis Boulenger take over the management of the factory after the departure of Valentin Paillart in 1836. The pottery becomes Boulenger-Hautin et Cie. However, it was not until the second Boulenger generation, in 1863 with Hippolyte Boulenger, that the local pottery turned into an industrial success.
