"Modern Art Abstract Art Michel Fabre "
ABSTRACT ART MODERN ART MIXED TECHNIQUE ON PANEL FRANCE CIRCA 1980/90. Michel Fabre, born in 1927, is a French painter who had his first exhibition in 1978 in Paris. He began to paint watercolors, oils on canvas, then discovered what would be his favorite material: sand. Sand from deserts around the world. This material was brought to him by a member of his family, then a desert geologist. He participated in numerous exhibitions as well as salons, for nearly forty years. Poetry, sensitivity, purity, plenitude and tranquility emerge from his abstract works. "In the force and the flow of the sand, we find our passage, receive this essential stone water and try, with it, a creative approach..." (in "the art of the tactile book". Gallimard Editions. Catherine Liégeois 2017). Here, mixed technique on panel, titled on the back: "The paths-The olives". Signed lower right. Work on iron oxides and red ochres. Hanging sign, unframed. Very good condition (see descriptive photos).
