Rare and uncommon revolver called transition pepper pot, period - Second Empire. XIX°. Open carcass, central percussion, octagonal barrel then round muzzle with bead. Barrel with handlebar sight and rear sight, see photos. Marking on the right side of the barrel serial number: 9786 and under the barrel as well as on the entrance to the chambers of the cylinder No. 16. Long barrel with 6 chambers of caliber 9m/m, hollowed out on the sides. Loading door on the right, lifting with locking notch and holster extraction rod aimed in the cap of the stock also acting as a ring. Ring trigger without trigger guard, smooth ebony stock plates, fixed by 1 transverse central screw. Double action mechanism in perfect working order. This revolver can be used as a revolver or as a pepper shaker without the unscrewable barrel. (Dismantling not tested so as not to force the blocking of the barrel).
