Navy Officer's Saber XIX Golden (coulaux & Klingenthal)

Magnificent Saber in gilded brass, signier curved blade by Coulaux & C. Klingenthal (struck with two hallmarks, see photo). the handle chiselled with foliage, anchor, dolphin's head and engraved inside the initials of the owner "C.C". the horn and brass hilt is adorned with a shell drop medallion and ends in a hooded pommel with a stylized flower motif. all in its original black leather sheath, with two bails on the fittings which are adorned with an anchor, shell and oak leaves on the tip of the stinger. and to decorate the whole a beautiful strap embroidered in gold thread.
