This beautiful piece of furniture, a unique part of a complete living room, was made in Italy, in the region of Piedmont, whose many places still offer a testimony of the past. History has left its mark on this rich region where traces of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Counter-Reformation can be found in every place.
Period: Second half of the 19th century
Style : Neo-Renaissance
Dimensions : Height : 112cm x Width : 61cm x Seat depth : 53cm
Richly hand carved with winged putti, enthroned with benevolence on the top of the back, scattered with luxuriant vegetation on the backs, magnified by several heads of Lions perfectly highlighted at the level of the seat, itself covered with ultra resistant fabrics of the house "Casal", reference Amara.
This wood, which was intended to be dark in its time to favour the development of the Neo-Renaissance style, offers us today all the light on the exposure in all simplicity, in the smallest intersites, thanks to the air-gumming required for our restoration, thus unfolding before our eyes the architectural richness of the piece of furniture, the iconographic richness of the Mannerist furniture that was perfectly suited to the taste of the Second Empire.
This piece is sold alone, but can also be part of a set of several pieces, which are currently on display in our gallery.
A preferential price will be communicated after study.
