Confident Solid Walnut - Decorations With Putti - Style: Neo-renaissance - Period: XIXth Century

 Charming solid walnut confidant or conversation seat.
This beautiful piece of furniture, a unique part of a complete living room, was made in Italy, in the region of Piedmont, whose many places still offer a testimony of the past. History has left its mark on this rich region where traces of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Counter-Reformation can be found in every place.

Richly hand carved with winged putti, scattered with luxuriant vegetation on the backsplashes, magnified by several heads of Lions perfectly highlighted at the level of the seats, themselves covered with ultra resistant fabrics of the house "Casal", reference Amara.
This wood, which was intended to be dark at the time to favour the development of the Neo-Renaissance style, now offers us all the light and exposure in all simplicity, in the smallest of spaces, thanks to the air-gumming required for our restoration, thus displaying before our eyes the architectural richness of the furniture, the iconographic richness of Mannerist furniture which was perfectly suited to the taste of the Second Empire.
