"C. Lahaute (?) : "large Romantic Watercolor In The Ruins""
C. Lahaute (?) (19th century): "Walker in the ruins", large watercolor 31 X 46 cm, circa 1860, mounted by a marie-louise with a gilded bevel in a gilded leaf frame 58 X 72 cm (small accidents) . Completely in the romantic movement, this beautiful sheet bears an unfortunately unknown signature, even if it is more readable on the other, its calligraphy prevents me from deciphering it properly. But both the format, the quality of the touch and the restitution of the atmosphere worthy of the fantastic novels of the 19th century, make it an exciting piece worthy of the greatest collections.
