Beautiful old painting from the early 19th century, oil on canvas signed / dated lower left Lienard (Jean Auguste) 1827, representing the bust portrait of a man wearing a white tie, the jacket decorated with a medal ribbon. Old restorations and cleaning, on its original canvas, in a 19th century gilded wooden frame (missing moldings). Lienard (Jean Auguste Edouard), pupil of Isabey, Regnault and David, replaced Watteau at the Lille drawing academy in 1823. All in good condition, see photos.
