"Fashion Lithographs, Romantic, 19th Century."
Series of romantic vignettes from the first half of the 19th century. These full-page lithographs colored in watercolor are entitled "gracious medallions" by L.Lassalle. These twelve women in the bust have all different hairstyles, velvets, straw hats, turbans, feathers, flowers and lace which illustrate the variety of fashion at that time. The ornamentation of the frame of each vignette is very varied: flowers, cupids, grapes, garlands. The two plates are presented in an old frame with vibrated molding. They are in good condition despite the presence of small foxing. Delivered without glass for safer transport.
