"Alsatian Embroidered Tablecloth - Memorable Year 1914"
1914 France Alsace Beautiful and moving tablecloth in white cotton embroidered with red mercerized thread entitled 1914 Memorable Year. Very fine cross-stitch embroidery and drawn threads with scalloped edges on all four sides. Large central medallion with a couple of notables in 16th century costume, decoration laden with vine leaves and bunches of grapes with rooster, rabbit, stag and pig in the corners, reminiscent of the agrarian codes of France from this period. No flaws and clean. Excellent state of color and conservation. Dimensions: 153cm x 138cm.
