Portrait Scottish Woman Colored Lithograph

Exceptional in quality of execution, lithograph "The Pretty Scottish girl", 19th Century.
(n ° 20) by Émile Lassalle (born in 1813 in Bordeaux - died in 1871 in Bordeaux) painter and lithographer of genre, Emile Lassalle was a pupil of P. Lacour and took part to the Parisian Salons from 1834 to 1869.
This proof, before the letter, circa 1850, was watercolored and hightened with gouache in the workshops of Goupil & Vibert, it bears traces of marking in each corner of the subject, and we do not know if it was really edited. All the colored parts were made by the master painter of the House Goupil, on the basis of a lithographic proof of first quality.
The original work of which it is inspired, entitled "The Pretty Scotswoman", was realized by a Hungarian artist, Karoly Brocky (1808 Temesvar - 1855 London) who exhibited at the Royal Academy of London from 1839 to 1855.
